It’s Nelly’s 4th Birthday!! So obviously I had to make her something special! This easy, one-bowl recipe makes the perfect dog gift, pup treat, or even a good snack for humans if you really want!

DIY DOG TREATS

Time: 1.5 hours (with chilling time) // Servings: 10+ dogs?

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for rolling)

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 2/3 cup pumpkin

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 1 tbsp honey

DIRECTIONS

  • In a medium size mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, pumpkin, applesauce, honey, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.

  • Slowly add flour and mix until just combined and a dough forms.

  • Wrap dough in saran wrap and refrigerate overnight or freeze for at least an hour.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough until 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Cut out shapes and re-roll until all of the dough is used.

  • Place shapes on baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes depending on the size.

  • Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
