Peanut-Free Puppy Chow
I know you didn’t think the OG puppy chow could get much better, but meet my peanut-free cookie butter puppy chow! It’s everything you love about the classic muddy buddies, but cookie-infused and safe for kiddos to bring to school!
PEANUT-FREE PUPPY CHOW
Time: 15 minutes // Servings: 8-10
INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 cups Rice Chex cereal
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup speculoos cookie butter (Biscoff and Trader Joe’s are my favorites)
1/8 stick (1 tablespoon) unsalted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
DIRECTIONS
Pour the Chex into a large bowl. Set aside.
In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips, cookie butter, and butter in the microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth. Stir in the vanilla.
Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and mix with a rubber spatula until all the pieces are evenly coated. Add the confectioners’ sugar in two additions and mix until everything is well coated.
Spread on waxed paper and allow to cool. Chow down! Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
